Matthew “Gray Wolf” Pedersen, 58, of Bushkill, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Pocono in East Stroudsburg. He was the loving husband of Melissa (Hassenmayer) Pedersen with whom he shared almost nine years of marriage. Born in Suffern, NY, he was a son of the late Arnold B. and Carol Ann (Enstrom) Pedersen.
Gray Wolf was a member of the Bushkill Volunteer Fire Company for over 20 years where he was the former Lieutenant of Fire Police. He was a member of the Independent Brothers MC where he held the position of Treasurer. He worked as the Gas Manager at Quickchek for the last 2 years.
He loved riding his Tri Glide with his wife and friends. Gray Wolf was known for his early bedtime, his love of iced coffee, his love of photography, his love of loud music from Metallica to Grassroots to Grateful Dead and beyond, but mostly for how much he loved his wife. He was also known for how much he cared for his Brothers and Sisters of both the Fire Service and the Motorcycle Club and turning friends into family.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his sister, Karoline Pedersen of Puerto Rico; brother-in-law; Michael Hassenmayer of Middletown, NY, father-in-law Steve Hassenmayer of Middletown, NY, and an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Christian Pedersen.
There will be a memorial service on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Bushkill Volunteer Fire Company Hall, 124 Evergreen Drive, Bushkill, PA 18324. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in Gray Wolf's name to Independent Brothers MC, a registered 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are 100% tax deductible. Independent Brothers Motorcycle Club is dedicated to supporting and uplifting those in our community who are struggling and in need of a helping hand.
Private cremation has been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
