Joan DeChristino, 86, of Stroudsburg passed away peacefully on Friday, November 13, 2020 in St. Luke’s Hospital - Bartonsville. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Phillip DeChristino and daughter, Deborah Ann Dillon.

Joan was born in New York City, grew up in Fort Lee, NJ, and spent most of her life raising a family and making wonderful friends in Staten Island, NY. She has resided in the Stroudsburg area for the past seven years, after relocating with her grandchildren from Hollywood, FL.
Joan enjoyed reading -especially mystery novels and anything by Ian Fleming or Stephen King, drawing, Hollywood film-trivia, a good crossword puzzle, and a beach. She loved week-night mahjong and poker games and weekend trips to Atlantic City. Joan’s passion in life was cooking and entertaining. She was the consummate party host and the matriarch of traditional Thanksgiving and Christmas-Eve family dinner celebrations.
Joan is survived by her two grandchildren, Christopher and Matthew Dillon; and two great-grandchildren, Druce and Daphne Dillon.
Cremation services will be private. The Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc. 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360 is assisting the family with arrangements.
